Synthio Chemicals joins the DOTC/NAC

Synthio Chemicals is pleased to announce that it has been accepted as a member of the National Armaments Consortium, a part of the defense Ordnance Technology Consortium. The Department of Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC) was commissioned by the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics as a DoD initiative. The goal was to facilitate collaborative Government, Industry and Academic ordnance technology development and prototyping.

As part of the NAC, Synthio Chemicals is partnering with leading chemical manufacturers, DoD prime contractors, and NASA propulsion experts to bring the benefits of Synthio's process intensification technology to the energetic materials community. We are working closely with both military and civilian customers to provide specialty chemical manufacturing services for both energetic materials and non-energetic binders and plasticizers. As a U.S., ITAR-compliant firm, we are proud to provide CONUS manufacturing of difficult-to-obtain or difficult-to-handle materials.

By radically re-imagining the manufacturing processes for these materials, Synthio Chemicals has been able to transform extremely hazardous batch manufacturing processes with safer, highly automated continuous processes with less than one-tenth the volume of explosive materials. Our experience with highly exothermic nitrations and oxidations, coupled with our experience in handling concentrated acids makes us an ideal partner for companies seeking a competitive edge through novel manufacturing.
